4 Customer Review(s)The boots would be better suited to road riding as the extremely delicate foam top portion gets torn to shreds when it contacts anything. Once a small rip forms, it continues until the boot is destroyed.
The soles have come loose on all mine as well. (I have had this boot warrantied several times due to all the defects)
Quality Price ValueI usually wear a 45 or 46, but I couldn't even get my foot into them. My shop ordered a 47, which was in within a couple of days. Fits great, boot is warm. I really have to tighten them up to do up the zipper, however, and I have torn off both pull tabs within the first week. I am just wearing regular thickness socks. Quality Price ValueFeet have remained dry and warm so far but we have only gotten down to -8 C so far this year. We have had a fair number of rainy days since I got the boots and they have work as advertised. Quality Price ValueOverall this is a well designed boot and keeps my feet dry and warm. It is a reasonable price for the quality and comfort. The shoe is comfortable overall.
I found two issues with the shoe -- it's difficult to get the shoe tight enough to avoid up and down movement of my heel and I had some difficulty clipping into a set of Shimano Deore XT PD M8020 Trail pedals.
Response from Garneau:
Sometimes, the shoe cannot be tight enough with a lower volume foot. A higher volume insole can help solve that a lot of times. For cleat/pedal engagement, the cleat position is important so that any rubber/outsole isn't contact the pedal platform. In some cases, a little bit of the outsole can be shaved off to provide better clearance.
