Team Africa Rising (colloquially known as Team Rwanda) consists of the Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Eritrea National Cycling Teams. The goal of Team Africa Rising is to inspire through the camaraderie and challenge of cycling those countries that are experiencing conflict. Since 2007, Team Africa Rising has been integral to bringing Rwandan riders to both the Olympics and Word Tour teams. In 2014, the Africa Rising Cycling Centre was opened in Rwanda. It consists of sixteen buildings, a service department, a BMX course, an organic garden and other facilities.
