DescriptionThe Course Air Lite road cycling shoes are our lightest shoe yet. The Carbon HM X-Lite outsole with titanium inserts is ultra-light and rigid for better power transfer, and the 4.3 mm carbon platform brings your feet closer to the pedal for even more power. The BOA IP1 attach system offers infinite levels of micro-adjustment, creating a perfect fit. The Louis Garneau patented air channel system intakes air at the front and channels it through the shoe where it exits at the back, creating an airflow inside the shoe that keeps feet cool. Weighing barely 7.8 oz (222 g) for a size 42 shoe, the Course Air Lite cycling shoe offers optimal comfort, spectacular performance and the highest ventilation for the least weight. “They fit me perfectly, and that’s one of the most important qualities to have in a cycling shoe. I like to think that when I slip on these Louis Garneau shoes, I get the same feeling Cinderella got when she slid into that glass slipper.” ~ Road Magazine “From the hot red color to the two-way BOA closures and a super-snug and comfortable fit, the Course Air Lite’s offer a level of performance you’ll only find with top-shelf shoes.” ~ www.feedthehabit.com
15 Customer Review(s)Bought two pairs of these shoes. One in-store and one online for my son. The online pair had a defect with the tong where the cushion layer debonded from the top layer. No worries, I have to say that Garneau Customer service took quick care of it. A companies performance is not only related to the products they sell, but the people who form it! I would not hesitate to buy online again from Garneau.
Quality Price ValueDue to its stiffness, this shoe has improved the amount of power applied on the pedals. It is so light, that I barely feel it. The boa system is a charm to operate and finally, the look is astonishing and racy. What more can we expect from a shoe? Louis Garneau nailed it big time! Quality Price ValueI like these shoes. I had been wearing my old shoes for many years, and decided to really splurge on these. Love them. Quality Price ValueSimply put the best in the market.
Size/fit is very accurate per their chart.
BOA system provides unlimited micro adjustments.
BOA system is very reliable (never failed me).
Better priced then similar shoes.
I bought the black 1 and a 1/2 years ago. Still going as if it were the first day.
If you buy it you will never regret it.
Quality Price ValueAfter having researched several dual BOA shoes I decided to go with the Course Air Lights in white. However, and I will be eternally grateful to Garneau for enabling me to overcome a life long aversion to the color red, I purchased the red at a fantastic price. Simple put, these shoes are perfect. The way I have always judged the quality of a shoe is to not be aware that you you even have one on your foot and these shoes meet that criteria. From my perspective, red truly is the color of love. Quality Price ValueI've owned several brands of cycling shoes, Pearl Izumi, Marvic, Bontrager, Shimano.... none of them comes close to the comfort and fit of the Course Air Lite.
The finish is beautiful, the micro adjustments are extremely useful. Worth every penny.
Quality Price ValueThis is my second pair of Garneau road shoes and I couldn't be more satisfied. A very nice upgrade to the Course 2LS that I've had for the last 2 years. Being in Florida, the Course Air Lites are noticeably better ventilated and keep my feet so much cooler. The way the BOA laces adjust by simply turning the dial either way to tighten or loosen, allows this shoe to be easily adjusted during the ride. It's the most comfortable shoe and looks great as well. Quality Price ValueExcellent comfort in a high performance reasonably priced shoe. Very happy with these. Quality Price ValueI have always used Shimano shoes because they had a toe box that fit me...this is no longer true. Consequently, I tried shoes from Sidi, Giro, Bontrager, Fizik and Shimano again. Nothing fit well enough for me. That is until I tried a pair of Louis Garneau. I have ridden 750 miles in them and they are terrific. The fit is true and that magic they work in the heel is unbelievable (in a great way). I would have bought them at the regular price, but the price in red was too good to be true. I wear a 43 in Shimano and the 43 in this shoes is terrific. Very Light, Very Comfortable, Great Quality and the closure system is terrific for adjusting on the fly. BUY THEM! Quality Price ValueI have a few hundred miles in these. So far very happy with them. This is my first shoe with BOA and it's so easy to use. I measured my foot as per LG instruction and they fit perfectly. Quality Price ValueI have had a lot of trouble finding shoes that are comfortable for my wide feet. These shoes are great, extremely light and fit my wide foot perfectly. This shoe is true to size and comes in some great colours to express yourself! Quality Price ValueAfter many attempts with shoes, I do believe I have found the one. I have had trouble with the Boa lacing in the past, but not on the Course Air Lite shoes. The lacing has been just great and no soreness on the top of my feet. The shoes are very vented, so my feet have been cool even on some really hot long rides. I don't think I have ever had this light of a shoe. When I put them on, it really doesn't feel like I have anything on at all. Quality Price ValueHaving great contact points between you and the bike is critical, especially when spending long hours out on the road.
Having owned various different brands of high end road shoes over the years, I thought I'd experienced the best of the best already...until I tried the Course Airlite shoes. These things are next level!
The dual Boa adjustment is simply amazing for dialing in the fit. When my feet get a little tired near the end of a long ride I can easily reach down and micro adjust the dial for the part of the foot that needs a little relief... something I couldn't do nearly as easily or accurately with a velcro strap. Alternatively, when in a group ride or race approaching the final sprint I can turn the dials a couple notches tighter to take up any slack and maximize power transfer of every last watt... I need all the help I can get!
I love how the bright red stands out and attracts compliments from young and mature cyclists alike.
The ventilation on these shoes is superb...making them ideal for hot days. They also include an extra pair of insoles with more ventilation that can be swapped in for those extra warm days!
All in all, my favorite shoe EVER and one I recommend to anyone looking for the highest performance shoe out there. You won't be disappointed.
Quality Price ValueThese are some good looking shoes! And better yet, they are comfortable and breathable too. The shoes ship with a two different insoles, one for cold weather and one for warm weather, which is just a smart idea. I just switched out mine for the warm weather insoles as the temps are getting hotter here in Utah, awesome ventilation.
The shoes are comfortable and the dual boa system really helps dial (no pun intended) in the fit. They are crazy light and keep my feet from going numb on longer rides. Great shoes.
Quality Price ValueI've struggled with shoe fit over the years.
I have a low-volume foot AND a high arch, AND an unstable foot (I wear orthotics), AND one foot that is a 1/2 size smaller than the other. So, i've gone through my fair share of shoes in the quest for a pair that works for me. Finally, the search is over!
This shoe checks all of my boxes, is light, is breathable, is comfortable, and looks great. And, it does this for less than all of the other top-of-the-line shoes in the market. The Boa system is top notch and I can only say great things about the shoe. A little benefit is the great fore-aft adjustment of the cleat anchors. Normally, those are pretty much fixed in place but with the Course Air Lite, you've got a big range for those who want to set the clear farther forward or backwards. Awesome shoes and wholeheartedly recommend.
