Georgia Gould is more than a role model. She is a pioneer. The 2-time Olympian and 5-time US National Champion was the first to petition the UCI for what became known as the Gould Formula, a proposal to award equal prize money to the top five men and women finishers in international events.

“With your hands,” says Bolanos, “you feel every single crack in the road.” It’s a feedback mechanism. A loop, really.
“When I ride my bike,” he continues, “I enjoy the landscape, but I feel like I’m also giving back to it.”
To date, Bolanos has planted over 50,000 trees. So yeah, he’s giving back.

In episode 1, we caught up with Lyne Bessette. Lyne has made her mark on the cycling world as a two-time Olympian and one of the top female cyclists of all time, yet one of her greatest contributions is her annual 100b7 gravel road ride. The proceeds from the 100b7 ride provides financial support to one “butterfly” each year, by celebrating that person’s journey through their own trials and tribulation. The route features the trails she’s grown up riding and training on, and provides a glimpse into the life behind Lyne’s eyes and heart.
